ANZIIF’s Generation i program aims to engender a strong sense of community among young insurance professionals. To achieve this, ANZIIF holds networking events for industry professionals to meet and engage with like-minded people from across the insurance industry. These networking events are underpinned by the strategic direction of the Generation i Committee.

In March 2013, Tim joined Ansvar Insurance Limited’s Liability Claims Team as a Claims Consultant. Tim administers a mixed portfolio of liability matters ranging from Personal Accident, General Public Liability, Employment Practices Liability and Professional Indemnity claims.
Tim enjoys having the ability to make direct contact with the Client’s and Brokers that he deals with to bring an effective and efficient claims service. He aspires to grow and have a fulfilling career in insurance particularly to provide risk solutions to his client base.

The competencies he acquired in his Audit & Assurance profession can be seamlessly applied across various financial service sectors. Throughout his career, Gareth has been dedicated to delivering superior financial advice and solutions to his clients.
In 2021 Gareth joined the PSC Group and is responsible for the day to day management of a large portfolio of corporate clients. He has a proven track record of identifying opportunities, developing bespoke coverage, and providing tactical business solutions for clients, with an emphasis on clients in the Financial Sector.
Leveraging his experience and perceptive insights into clients’ respective industries and enterprises, Gareth aims to facilitate clients’ comprehensive understanding of their risks so they can make informed decisions on Balance Sheet protection and the amount of risk they wish to bear.
Gareth also holds a number of positions outside of the ANZIIF Generation i Council, including Treasurer for Aspergers Victoria and is a member of the NIBA Vic/Tas Young Professionals Committee.

Marianne began her insurance career in 2011, working as an Account Executive Assistant at Verisure National Insurance Brokers. She finished at the company as a Senior Broker and Risk Adviser. During her time at the brokerage, she was granted an ANZIIF Senior Associate CIP Membership level, having completed diplomas in both General Insurance and Insurance Broking with ANZIIF.
Marianne was awarded the Insight Australia Group’s CGU Norm Dwyer Award of Excellence for Young Insurance Professionals in 2014. In 2015, she worked with ANZIIF as a Course Content Provider for an ANZIIF Business Skills Unit, and in 2026, she achieved ANZIIF Fellow CIP status.
Marianne previously worked as a Client Relationship Executive for Catholic Church Insurance. She held the role for almost 8 years. She has since joined Marsh, as a Principal in Risk Management. Marianne looks forward to furthering her career within the insurance industry, working as part of Australia’s largest brokerage. She aims to assist young insurance professionals with their career and professional development through the broader Marsh network, as well as through work undertaken with ANZIIF’s Generation I Council.

Linh is a dynamic executive with expertise in client management, corporate strategy, and operational development across Optometry, Health, Fitness, Insurance, and Tech. Now, as the Co-Founder and Director of a niche entertainment and leisure insurance services business, Prize Guard, Linh provides risk management advice and independent supervision of large insured promotions across Australia and New Zealand.
Born in Adelaide to Vietnamese refugee parents, Linh advocates for education, innovation, equal opportunities, social mobility, and inclusive growth. She played a key role in scaling a tech start-up, attracting a strong client base and acquisition interest despite having no prior tech experience.
As a council member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), Linh has influenced loss adjusting module revisions and chairs the Rising Stars committee. She is also a past Director for the Australian Vietnamese Leadership Dialogue (AVLD), which focuses on strengthening the Australia-Vietnam bilateral relationship by nurturing visionary leaders.
Linh has had meaningful impact on advancement of professional practice via the influence of the many boards she sits on, including co-establishing a Women's forum with the aim of connecting women with Mentors after learning of "imposter syndrome".
Linh continues to speak at Diversity, Equality + Inclusion DEI seminars as she wants to build a home for inclusion and make unconscious bias conscious.
Her accolades include ANZIIF’s Young Insurance Professional of the Year 2021, and recognition from Insurance Business Australia as one of the top Insurance Executives and Professionals in Australia 2024 and Young Gun in 2019. Linh is a Chartered Loss Adjuster with a Bachelor of Medical Science, a Diploma of Risk Management, and is a qualified Master Trainer from the Australian Institute of Fitness.

Courtney has extensive experience in providing indemnity and liability advice to general insurers and self-insured clients predominantly in the areas of public liability, product liability and property damage claims. Courtney has acted for insurers in defending personal injury and property damage liability claims as well as defending professional indemnity claims and assisting insurers with complex claims management. In Courtney’s current role she works primarily with WorkSafe Victoria with respect to serious injury applications and common law damages claims.
Courtney delivers strong commercial outcomes for her clients through her willingness to learn and understand their organisational needs and requirements. In addition to developing strong client relationships she is an active member of the Melbourne insurance community with a passion for advancing the involvement and voice of women within the insurance industry. Courtney is a committee member of Women in Insurance (Victoria), a not for profit organisation which assists women from across the industry to come together to exchange knowledge and help each other thrive.

Marcus is an Ex-retail banker and, now works as an actuarial consultant. He was the winner of the 2023 Young Actuaries Award Public Policy Essay Competition. Marcus gained previous experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers' (PwC) in their Actuarial Risk Advisory and Strategy team, and in Finity's Actuarial consulting team.
Marcus loves a challenge. He seeks to provide practical insights and innovative products that will create value in society and help others. He is passionate about implementing sustainable growth practices within businesses, organizations and governments.
He currently sits on FINSIA's Young Finance Professional Committee and ANZIIF’s Generation Council i.
